Answer: Good Roots is focused on building initiatives to help provide opportunities and organic, healthy foods to underserved communities with the help of corporate sponsorships. We build and manage unique programs & events with our corporate partners which focus on the goals of creating local jobs, providing healthy food to families, seniors, and individuals in underserved communities, and supporting small farms and local food purveyors. During the Covid-19 pandemic we have worked with Facebook to adapt the Community Mobile Market Program to a drive through, SAFE (Sanitary Allocation of Food Essentials) Market Program. Since March of 2020 we have distributed various meal kits, vegetable and fruit boxes, and a la carte items through our drive through service every Sunday. As the need for food grew and small businesses needed more support in the early days of the pandemic, we developed a new initiative to pack and distribute boxes of locally sourced organic produce and grocery essentials to local nonprofits, senior centers, churches, schools, etc. Our donation program runs every day of the week where over 1600 boxes go out to those in need every week. Since the beginning of the pandemic the Facebook Donation Program has distributed 69,417 boxes as of June 1 2021. In addition to the Facebook Community Mobile Market and Donation Program, we also work with Facebook to help local restaurants distribute meals to those in need in the hyper local community. #BuyLocal
