As the county's hub for integrated food assistance, the Food Bank tackles the hunger issue in collaboration with its agencies coupled with the generous support of Feeding Texas, Houston Food Bank, United Way, HEB, and many others. Founded in 2004, Galveston County Food Bank programs provided over 6 million meals (weighing an amazing 7.3 million pounds) to those in need county-wide in 2017.
