Answer: Foundation for Recovery (FFR) is Nevadas statewide recovery community organization offering education/training, advocacy and peer recovery support services . FFR has two Peer Recovery Community Centers; one in Las Vegas and one in Sparks/Reno area. FFR offers a 46 hour in-person training to persons with lived experience to learn the skills and knowledge necessary to work as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist in the state. The training is endorsed by the Nevada Certification Board and IC & RC. Other training and education are offered throughout statewide network project and to providers and organizations interested in peer recovery support services. FFR offers these support services at our Peer Recovery Community Centers locations or through outreach in the community: mutual aid groups; GED tutoring and testing; parenting and life skills training; peer coaching services; CRAFT groups; Seeking Safety and Veterans groups and resource connection in local communities.
