The FHRC maintains regular contact with non-violent activists inside Cuba and their supporters. Some of these groups include prisoners of conscience and their families, independent journalists and Bloggers, cultural activists, self-employed, independent unions and marginalized sectors. Our Vision: Empower Cuban Civil Society to build a durable democracy in Cuba Our Mission: 1. Enhance on-Island activists groups (under the communist regime) awareness and effectiveness in strategic non-violent activism 2. Facilitate on-Island Civil Society with civic training material, communication equipment, subject know-how (e.g., entrepreneurialism, micro-financing, etc.) and financial support 3. Create awareness and document, within the Island and in the international community, human rights violations and Cuban Civil Society building efforts 4. Collaborate with international and on-Island non-government organizations to provide for additional expertise and resources 5. Humanitarian aid
