Founded over 30 years ago, the Food Bank was created in order to find a way to develop an effective and comprehensive plan to fight hunger within the region. The Food Bank distributes nutritious food and support to hungry community members throughout Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, and Niagara counties. We assist nearly 140,000 individuals monthly through our network of 335 agencies that include food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, group homes, snack programs, camps and child and adult day cares. Our MISSION is to obtain nutritious food and support from public and private sources in order to distribute these resources to the hungry within Western New York. Our VISION is to respectfully provide food, education, training and hunger advocacy for our member agencies and their clients.
