FirstCare was founded in Amarillo in 1985, and were still Texas based. We put down roots and weve watched them grow. In fact, were owned by Texas-based Scott and White Health Planpart of Baylor Scott & White Healthand are connected to nearly 140,000 members in our communities. Today, our service area includes 143 counties, with local offices in Abilene, Amarillo and Lubbock. FirstCares founders were dedicated to fighting the rising costs of health care.
