Answer: Far Corners Missions (FCM) is a fifty-one year old mission agency guided by two Biblical Mandates Matthew 25:40 serving the least Matthew 28:19-20 The Great Commission. Our approach to missions work in the 21st Century is to identify, train and empower indigenous leadership and staff in the people groups we serve. Our vision is that this process will incubate Gods fully functioning church within the peoples being served by FMC. Our approach has inherent benefits (1) our staff do not have to encounter and survive cross-cultural adaptation (2) we are blessed with a tremendous financial leverage in many of our programs, example cost to send an expatriate pastor to the field ($50K-80K per year) cost for a village pastor in India or Thailand ($480 per year) we are able to do many times the work on our missionary donations. (3) The church develops in an economic and social mode that makes it effective in the relative culture. (4) ministry staff have a life time context not a missionary term. FCM maintained its headquarters in Southern California for the first fifty years of its existence. In 2009, the Board of FMC made the decision to relocate the mission headquarters to Fort Worth, Texas. FMC headquarters staff presently support over 400 staff members in 9 countries. Our staff in Fort Worth, Texas is made up of only 3 full-time, 2 part-time and a group of dedicated volunteers. We presently provide nurturing and support for over 400 developing churches in India, Mexico, Nepal, Peru, Philippines and Thailand. We also operate two hospitals, various medical clinics, rescue ministries for those trapped in sexual slavery, river medical ministry to isolated Jungle villages, feeding the hungry, programs to protection of children at risk, care for the outcast elderly, childrens homes, Bible College and lay level pastor and Bible teaching training, village evangelism via film and print media, indigenous church planting and nurturing.
