Answer: Family Promise of Collin County-Transforming the lives of homeless families. The Family Promise Network is a national nonprofit organization with over 200 affiliates, established in 1985, on the belief that people are compassionate and want to make a difference. Family Promise of Collin County (FPOCC) has been serving homeless families with children in Collin County since 2011. We provide food, shelter and support services to these families with children as they regain stability and independence. By mobilizing communities and existing resources to assist homeless families with children, FPOCC can provide food, shelter, and support at a third of the cost of a traditional shelter program as they regain sustainable independence. We recognize that poverty is a multifaceted problem that requires a multifaceted response. We respond by integrating educational outreach, smart programming, effective policies, and the hands-on work of thousands of volunteers. Our Affiliates are nonsectarian. They welcome all guests. Volunteers come from diverse backgrounds and represent nearly every faith in the United States.
