Answer: Our mission is to transform the lives of families with children who are facing homelessness by mobilizing a diverse community to provide shelter, education, and comprehensive support. Our Shelter program provides temporary housing for families experiencing homelessness, combined with intensive family coaching to address the issues that led to their housing loss. Once goals are achieved and families move back into apartments, they enter our SAIL Program where they receive ongoing coaching along with rental subsidies for one to two years. Our LIFE homelessness prevention and shelter diversion program supports families at risk of eviction and shelter entry by providing subsidies to pay back rent, advocacy with the landlord, and one year of coaching to build long-term stability. The Steps to Success Program helps parents and teens access educational and employment opportunities that will help break the cycle of poverty.
