Answer: Families First's mission is to nurture children, empower parents, and strengthen whole families. We advance equity, engage and create community for families furthest from opportunities. Our whole family, parenting, and early childhood programs significantly improve school readiness, family engagement, and economic mobility, serving a large Hispanic demographic. With family first, neighborhoods confront disparities, including social support, parental stress, access to child and health care, income and poverty status, and environmental conditions. Primary activities include evidence-based programs: ParentChild+, our race equity driven home-visiting program that prepares families for preschool over 46 straight weeks; two, five-star bilingual preschools; Family Home Childcare Network Administration, provider-led; Celebrating Families, 16 straight week groups for families whose homes are affected by addiction, weekly ESL, GED, and tutoring classes.
