Call us to improve any remodeling project or home. We perform energy assessments and the work needed to achieve great results. Energy Reduction Specialists of NC Inc (ERS) blossomed out of Gary Silversteins thirty plus years as a successful North Carolina residential general contractor. Garys focus on green building led him on the path to starting this sister company in 2010 with an objective to retrofit existing homes for energy efficiency. Through their skilled crew and attentive supervision, ERS has made hundreds of homes in Greensboro NC and surrounding areas more energy efficient, comfortable and safe. ERS staff is Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified. Gary is also a Certified Green Professional (CGP) and has won numerous awards for his efforts in green building and affordable home advocacy. Garys partner Paul Swenson has worked many years as a supervisor for the Non-profit Community Housing Solutions. His experience in home repairs and remodeling as well as energy efficiency makes him an invaluable component to the success of ERS. Currently, Energy Reduction Specialists is one of two contractors chosen by Duke University to work on their HEAL project to make the homes of Duke Staff more energy efficient. ERS is also one of three contractors chosen to work on the North Carolina State University E-Conservation Program. This program is for entry level retrofit work on homes all over the state. ERS continues to learn and grow as we strive to improve on each and every job we do.
