Answer: Wisdom of the Elderberry Farm is the Native American nonprofit whose mission is to provide opportunities for Native Americans, communities of color and public audiences to raise awareness and understanding of Native peoples rich cultural heritage and traditional ecological knowledge. Working with diverse collaborative partners, we provide educational and workforce opportunities so Native people can fulfill career pathway plans, attain leadership and prosperity, and strengthen Native health and wellness using cultural arts and TEK activities that restore threatened and/or endangered habitat in sacred landscapes. Committed to diversity, equity and inclusion for all, we help our increasingly inclusive community strengthen appreciation and respect for the wisdom and knowledge of Native American elders, cultural leaders and TEK educators. Located in rural Marion County Oregon., we share Native American cultural arts and Traditional Ecological Knowledge by: Recording and preserving messages of wisdom and guidance of gifted Native elders, cultural leaders and scientists; and training emerging Native filmmakers to learn film production. Sharing culturally-tailored multimedia curriculum that includes rich Native American cultural values; stories and music; and habitat restoration principles in a changing climate Sharing messages of harmony and hope to uplift our community and strengthen race reconciliation so badly needed in today's world.
