Answer: DroneWarz is the gamification arm of the Cyber Defense Center. DroneWarz is a unique program that is taking cyber defense CTFs and hacking challenges to new heights. DroneWarz challenges are designed for harnessing innovation and having fun with emerging technologies. Our programs create a unique experience that will inspire and ignite an industry in flight. DroneWarz competition arenas include: 1) Drone Hacking Arena Hack drones and determine their motives - This DroneWarz arena allows teams to engage active mission and post-mission drones to intercept and control them (capture them in flight) and perform forensic investigations on drone missions. 2) Drone CTF Arena The DroneWarz Capture the Flag (CTF) games allow teams to battle for drone captures and for challenge flags. Drones are put in flight and each team may use their team drones in the arena to capture arena and competitor flags. The team with the most flags wins. 3) Drone Creativity Arena Design competition this DroneWarz arena allows teams to compete on creative designs and applications for drones. Our program issues design challenges based on primary industry use cases or competitors may also go off-script and design something completely new. There are no rules, just fun! 4) Drone Solutions Arena Use Drones to solve a problem this DroneWarz arena allows teams to compete against the clock in solving a field problem. The problem is released in advance so drone teams can build and test for the competition. Autonomous operations not required but encouraged. 5) Drone Education Arena - This is our youth engagement arena that provides hand on learning for drone safety, operation, builds, and applications. DroneWarz offers youth the opportunity to race and test advanced UAVs and pilot controllers in simulations. Youth are also able to customize drones with 3d printers, build and program them, and bring their designs to life in flight. This is STEM on steroids!
