It provides educational opportunities; local, state and national advocacy, and support for the entire family and community. DSAMT serves 41 counties, including more than 1,500 families in Middle TN, plus countless educators, medical professionals and businesses. Its programs include: First Call - welcoming new families to our community, assisting other families who have needs or questions; School Partnership - providing best-practices strategies and trainings to educators; Medical Partnership - providing up-to-date resources on Down syndrome and helping them better serve their patients; Caregiver Education - providing opportunities for learning best practices in caring for children and adults; Community - connecting families through multiple events throughout the year; and Programs for those with DS - summer camps, book club, teen/adult programs, etc.
