Answer: We build homes alongside hardworking families who deserve an affordable, decent place to live in Dorchester County. We have built over 70 single family homes in our community since 1993 and changed the life trajectory of over 250 children who can now grow up in their own safe space with a backyard and room to grow and learn. Future homeowners work to build their home, attending financial coaching classes and prepare to take on an affordable, 30 year, interest free mortgage at the time that they purchase their home. It takes over 2,000 volunteer hours to build each home. We are able to keep homes affordable through in-kind donations of materials, land, and volunteer labor. The ReStore warehouse at 101 Greyback Road sells gently used housewares, clothes and building supplies. Funds raised in the ReStore go back into the construction program to build homes.
