Answer: DoC Mapping LLC is revolutionizing the way Depth of Cover (DoC) and Right of Way (RoW) pipeline and utility surveys are completed and communicated. The remote detection of buried electrical cables and pipelines has been possible using various technologies for the past several decades. Advances in both sensor and GPS technologies over the last few years are allowing detectors to work in areas that were previously not an option, and gather data that is much more accurate than ever before possible. Proper selection and integration of these new technologies, along with a cutting edge data interpretation and filtering, has allowed the DoC Mapping team to revolutionize the way that Depth of Cover (DoC) and Right of Way (RoW) surveys are completed and reported. Pipeline operators and utility companies worldwide are often required to determine position the depth of cover (DoC) for pipelines and cables at specific locations such as places where they cross bodies of water, sensitive ecological zones, active geologic zones, and rights of way. DoC Mappings new process allows these surveys to be completed in a fraction of the time that previous survey techniques take. This reduced time on-site results in a lower cost to the operator. For surveys in waterways, divers are not required, increasing safety and dramatically reducing exposure to liability. For surveys on land, the density of data points is vastly increased, in some cases over 1000 fold. Integration of top of the line GPS technology allows all data points to be time-synced and geo-positioned automatically resulting in accuracies that were previously unavailable.
