Answer: Delta Prep is an educational 501(c)(3) non-profit. Our goal is to provide free SHSAT tutoring and mentoring to immigrant children, children of immigrant parents, and children who come from socially or economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Through the program, we hope to assist students in gaining admission into one of NYC's eight specialized high schools (other than LaGuardia High School). Delta Prep was created because we believe that all students, regardless of socioeconomic circumstances should have equal opportunity to prepare for the Specialized High Schools Admission Test (SHSAT) and gain admission to some of the best high schools in NYC. The Delta Prep Free SHSAT Tutoring and Mentoring program runs twice on week on weekends for 3 hours a day. We currently only offer this program via Zoom meetings and not in person at this moment as the ultimate goal is to have this program available all throughout NYC. *In-person photos were all taken throughout the duration of our summer 2017 program.
