Answer: Darby Creek Valley Association (DCVA) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the watershed and its resources, including water, wildlife, historical sites, floodplains, wetlands, and riparian zones. Since 1984 DCVA has been working diligently to protect and restore the Darby Creek Watershed through: Land Acquisition & Open Space Protection Clean Up & Trail Creation and Maintenance. Invasive Plant Management, Wetland Rehabilitation & Dam Removal School Programs, Public Events & Workshops Stream Monitoring & Insect Identification Workshops We work with other area environmental groups such as PEC, PRC, EDCSC, Stroud Water Research, PA Sea Grant, the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge and others. Some of our programs include: Wetland Restoration Stream and Stream area Clean-Ups Rain Garden education and installation Storm Water Management Citizen Monitoring Program Community Education Series Gardening Workshops Delaware River Watershed Initiative Our work is supported by our volunteer base, grants, and donations.
