At that time, Jason worked as sales manager for Leland-Powell Fasteners, Inc. a domestic manufacturer of fasteners in Martin, TN. Jason had started selling fasteners to an automotive account and Leland-Powell made the decision to not sell in the automotive market. Since Jason had just started the account and had made commitments to the personnel at the automotive customers, he felt personally responsible and didn’t want to let those people down. He discussed the problem with the management staff of Leland Powell and decided to purchase their entire inventory and sell to them directly. Since that time, Danner Distribution had grown into a key component in the automotive industries need to purchase low cost, high quality items from Asia.
