Answer: The non-profit organisation Cre8 East Africa organizes art educational projects for children and youth in East Africa. While doing this we take into account the wishes, needs and potential of the communities and organisations with whom we work. In june 2010 Cre8 organizes together with Mkombozi and Yaden a project in Moshi, Tanzania. 50 youth from the street will make a performance with music, dance, theatre, prhotography and video. The project will have helped Mkombozi, centre for vulnerable children and youth, to: engage, enable and empower the participants to explore and educate the society on challenges that prevent them from reaching their potential and the opportunities that might be required. provide opportunity for the participants to exploit their talents and skills in creative arts. augment the opportunity to challenge the stereotype and mindset of the society about street living and street working children and youth. increase cultural exchange amongst the participants, local community and the CRE8 team. build the malleability and the competency of their target group to deal with the challenges that they meet in their daily lives. create a chance for the participants to build ideas that can ensure their self-reliance and independent living. Cre8 East Africa is employing volunteers and keeping overhead costs at a minimum. We are a small, but professional organisation made of enthusiastic people with a passion for children, the arts and Africa.
