Answer: The Cornell International Affairs Review (CIAR), established in fall 2007, is a bi-annual, student-run journal that publishes academic papers from undergraduate students, post-graduate students, experts, and professors in a wide range of fields with a focus on contemporary issues in the international arena. Our Mission: As Cornell's premier international relations-focused, undergraduate think tank, the CIAR has a three-fold task: 1. To analyze, speculate, and critique international relations policies and issues through publication of research in our biannual journal; 2. To advocate for international relations awareness and academic cohesion through speakers, panel discussion, and other events on Cornell's campus and beyond; and 3. To offer students of international relations a society in which to meet and engage with people of similar interests and professors and experts in the field. It is our firm belief that true knowledge stems not just from textbooks and lectures but from engaging with others. Thus, the CIAR strongly emphasizes cooperation and dialogue amongst all our members, both on Cornell's campus and beyond.
