Answer: We Are San Mateo Countys Transportation Demand Management Agency Our mission is to reduce the number of single-occupancy vehicles traveling in San Mateo County, reducing vehicle emissions resulting in improved air quality. Commute.org is a joint powers agency and is funded by the City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County, the San Mateo County Transportation Authority, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission. Commute.org is dedicated to addressing the challenges involved in getting to and from work in San Mateo County. Our goal is to help people find ways to get to work that are faster, cheaper, and/or easier through commuter information, employer programs, and city transportation demand management partnerships. A major strength of the agency is its ability to deal with transportation issues through its extensive network of allies. Creating partnerships provides the power to relieve traffic congestion in San Mateo County.
