Answer: Community Housing of Wyandotte County, Inc. is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), community development corporation dedicated to revitalizing the downtown neighborhoods of Kansas City, Kansas through new and improved housing and by addressing quality of life issues. Founded in 1998, CHWC has since built or renovated over 300 houses in the downtown neighborhoods. In addition, CHWC's community organizer works with neighborhood residents to promote sustainable quality of life improvements through after school art classes, community gardens, and resident engagement. CHWC is governed by a Board of Directors of 20 community volunteers who are committed to improving our neighborhoods.
