Answer: Layla, founder of College Advising Prep (CAP), has over 18 years of experience in higher education in the areas of recruitment and enrollment management, teaching, academic and career counseling, along with previous experience in educational research. Her vast experience includes working with the Ministry of Education in Southeast Asia to build K-8 curriculum, as well as with several colleges, including UC Davis and UCLA Extension, where she worked with traditional students and adult learners. Although she has led a successful career in the education field, she knows there are so many people who can be successful and get into their dream school if only they had the right guidance and academic support. She founded CAP was foundwith a strong mission to prepare students for college by providing individualized support and guidance to help them navigate through the overwhelming college admission process. Part of college readiness may include academic tutoring services and test preparation. Unlike other tutoring companies, CAP consists of passionate advisors and educators who have invaluable experience in the education field, specifically in the areas of teaching, college admissions, academic and career counseling. CAP will identify and address students academic weaknesses, thus building students toward a process of getting them accepted to a college of their dreams. That means understanding any existing learning gaps between their current academics and where they should be in order to be successful in college. And we have the curriculum built to increase their aptitude, skills, and self-confidence.
