Answer: CirKiz is a cutting-edge dance party for kids, created for the next generation of electronic music fans to celebrate music, dance and community. The CirKiz team transforms exclusive New York City nightclubs into a unique, kid-centric daytime party space where families can listen and dance to DJs, see live performances and experience a nightclub environment in a safe, controlled daytime setting. CirKiz events are focused on kids 6-12 years of age, however all children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Founded by parents and NYC nightclub veterans Jesse Sprague and Jenny Song, CirKiz is committed to encouraging and educating children to pursue creative endeavors. The two were inspired by this generations artistic and entrepreneurial prowess to create this unique form of family entertainment against the backdrop of NYC nightlife culture, where music, art and fashion intersect to create a one-of-a-kind melting pot. Our events are designed to get kids out of the house and away from screens into a stimulating sensory environment where they can get some exercise dancing, interact with other kids and have a great time, say CirKiz co-founders Sprague and Song. Through music, light shows and performances we hope to help develop the creative mind and ultimately inspire the next generation of DJs, artists, musicians and entrepreneurs. We want the winners of the DJ scholarship to be able to come back and DJ the party one day!
