Answer: I never set out to start a company, just to help my son. When our first son was born, it was obvious he had very sensitive skin. As he grew into his toddler years, he developed severe eczema and his skin became even worse. His eczema was so severe that he would wake up with bloody legs from scratching in his sleep - heartbreaking for me as I lifted him out of his crib. Despite being trained in conventional medicine, it was not acceptable for me to slather steroid cream on my toddler. My baby already had super sensitive and thin skin and topical steroids further thin the skin. This was not an option. Not to mention, thinking about his little body absorbing all those chemicals. Ugh. I was determined to make skin care products that would be natural, safe and chemical free. I started making soap, salve and body butter for him and the rest of our family. It actually helped. A lot. His skin began to improve using our non-toxic, plant based products. The rest of our familys skin became healthier as well. Gifts to family and friends turned into product requests and more orders. Selling my homemade soap at a garage sale led to a craft show invitation. Craft shows led to more people using and loving our products and more testimonials about the benefits of our products. Soon, local stores began stocking Cindy's Suds on their shelves. Our mission is to educate people and spread the word that simple changes in skincare products can make a big difference in health.
