Answer: Cincinnati Music & Wellness Coalition (CMWC) is the nations first community-wide recreational music-making wellness coalition. Our programs help to alleviate the stress, anxiety, depression, and loneliness endured by people from all walks of life. CMWCs mission is to promote a culture of wellness in diverse populations through evidence-based recreational music making, education, and arts engagement. Our vision is to create partnerships to achieve wellness in communities through music making and art. CMWC brings together different constituencies to actively engage individuals of all ages and abilities in two evidence-based music-making wellness programs, HealthRHYTHMS and Clavinova Connection. In addition, we provide ongoing education about the power of music in wellness and we present annual arts engagement events. Founded in 2009, Cincinnati Music & Wellness Coalition is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are composed of more than 120 members, including healthcare providers, researchers, musicians, and social service agencies. Using the strengths of our Coalition members, we bring mental and physical well-being to an ever-increasing population.
