Answer: "The perfect art photo draws no attention to itself, but presents the subject art with little or no distraction. Viewers are left with the impression that they are in the presence of the art." For more than 25 years, Christopher Burke has been refining photographic techniques to help artists and arts professionals achieve the best possible renderings of their artworks. The ongoing mission of the studio is to work closely with artists to understand their experience and vision, and to capture these insights in our reproductions. Of particular interest is our dialogue with EMERGING ARTISTS and our role in encouraging them to develop a photographic vocabulary through which their work can be translated from the original onto the film reproduction and beyond. Mr. Burke's forte has always been to create the finest color reproductions of artwork onto original film. As an important adjunct, we also offer PROFESSIONAL DIGITAL SERVICES. To ensure the best outcome, we begin with the highest quality scans of film originals. This helps us to achieve impeccable digital reproductions of the highest quality. We now scan negatives and transparencies from 35mm to 5x7 formats, as well as prints up to 8x10 with optical resolutions ranging from 80 to 8000 dpi. We do comprehensive COLOR MANAGEMENT, image and composition manipulation. Our studio is equipped for location shoots.
