Answer: Chiral Photonics (CPI) develops, produces and sells a diverse portfolio of high performance, fiber-based optical components: Fiber Optic Couplers- Pitch Reducing Optical Fiber Arrays, PROFAs, provide high density, singlemode coupling to photonic integrated circuits (PICs) to minimize chip real estate utilized for I/O. One-dimensional (1D) PROFAs are linear arrays of one to six channels usually used for chip edge coupling to 2 m mode field diameters (MFDs). Two-dimensional (2D) PROFAs are used for chip surface coupling to vertical grating couplers with MFDs of 9-11 m. Standard 2D PROFAs are available as hexagonal lattice arrays with up to 61 channels spaced at 37 m and can also be customized to match other non-standard arrays. Multicore Fiber Fanouts- Chirals Multicore Fiber (MCF) fanouts address the difficulty of addressing individual cores within these high density fibers. Fanouts have been delivered for wide variety of wide variety of channel counts, arrays configurations and MFDs. Optoelectronic packaging services- CPI offers full optoelectronic packaging services. Send us your diced chip and we will quickly return packaged devices. We provide an Optical Coupling and Packaging Design Guide so speak to us early in your design process. Other products and services include: fiber laser components including power-signal combiners, high temperature fiber optic sensors, in-fiber linear and circular polarizers, glass microfabrication services and optical switches. Chiral Photonics serves a wide variety markets, including: telecom, biomedicine, aerospace, robotics, defense, oil & gas, consumer electronics and high performance computing, as well as international universities and research institutions.
