Over 10,000 students from PA to MD visit the site for field trips on an annual basis. CBEC volunteers commit over 10,000 hours of service, annually, towards educational programs and habitat restoration projects. CBEC is open to the general public 7 days a week from 9am-5pm. Visitors can enjoy hiking trails, bird watching, kayaking, picnicing, photography, workshops and more. CBEC is a non-advocacy, non-lobbying organization and is not supported by county, state or Federal funding. CBEC relies strictly on donations, admission fees, school program fees, memberships, facility rentals, grants and fundraising efforts to support its operational budget. Please consider becoming a member of the CBEC family and help keep this pristine 500-acre wildlife perserve open for all to explore the wonders of the Chesapeake Bay.
