The vision to create a cultural centerpiece came to life at the Broward Center in the form of a grand, multi-venue arts and entertainment complex. The complex opened in 1991 and soon became the anchor of the downtown arts district. The Center's mission includes a strong focus on integrating the arts into education. A long-standing partnership with the School Board of Broward County has created an award-winning model for other communities through the Student Enrichment in the Arts (SEAS) program.SEAS activities are designed to advance specific educational goals tied into state standards, helping to develop our future workforce.
