Bridgehaven CAC is an organization that offers programs to help victims of child abuse and neglect. CAC (Children's Advocacy Center) program that has helped to change the way child abuse investigations are handled in Chambers and Liberty Counties in southeast Texas by working as part of a multidisciplinary team which includes law enforcement, prosecutors, child protective service workers, mental/medical professionals and volunteers. The purpose of Bridgehaven CAC is to coordinate the work of the multidisciplinary partnership and to ensure that child victims are not revictimized by the system designed to protect them. Bridgehaven CAC provides neutral, child-friendly, non-institutionalized environment in which each victim can feel safe telling his/her story and immediate services can be provided to both the child and their non-offending family members.
