Answer: Born Again Pit Bull Rescue (BAPBR) is the longest standing registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Portland Metro area dedicated to improving the lives of pit bulls and their communities. We advocate for pit-bull-type dogs through community awareness and education and strive to combat misinformation, over-population, shelter crowding, low adoption and high euthanasia rates for these family dogs. BAPBR's mission is to save lives by keeping dogs out of local shelters through spay and neuter assistance, owner and shelter support programs, and community education. We operate three programs to support our mission: > Snip Your Pit - We provide a spay and neuter assistance program to homeless and low-income families. > Pit Stop & Adopt - Through social media and community events, we network with shelters across the Pacific Northwest to increase a dogs chance of finding the perfect forever home. We also provide food, supplies and volunteer help to small and rural shelters in need of additional support. > Full Bellies Fund - Because no dog deserves to go hungry, the Full Bellies Fund provides high-quality food to dogs in low-income and homeless families.
