Answer: The Boise Urban Garden School (BUGS) is a specialized, inquiry-based education organization that utilizes an organic garden setting as the foundation for our unique learning environment. Since our founding in 2003, we have encouraged our students with hands-on learning activities that teach them the science behind gardening, and how to create food security in their own back yard. We know that a student that is able to dig in the soil, plant a seed, and watch it grow is excited to eat the fruits of their labor, and will understand the science behind a sprouting seed or photosynthesis.
