Answer: At Birch Ecology, we have a passion for the natural world. It inspires our mission to better understand, protect, utilize, and manage environmental resources by helping our clients to achieve their project goals. Birch Ecology is an interdisciplinary team of professional ecology and natural resources consultants serving Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West. We offer a full range of ecological services through our network of associates and subconsultants. Our established working relationships with regulatory agencies and understanding of environmental laws allow us to guide our clients through complex environmental permitting processes. We take pride in our reputation and relationships established with long-term clients. We have established a team that excels in the areas of restoration ecology, stream restoration, flood recovery, and fisheries enhancements. We are experts in wetlands and riparian ecology, Section 404 Permitting, wetland delineations, and wetland creation, mitigation, and enhancements. In addition, we manage complex environmental permitting processes for NEPA compliance and Endangered Species Act compliance, and we prepare state and local Environmental Impact Assessments for a variety of project types. Our team of plant ecologists and wildlife biologists has considerable experience with threatened and endangered species surveys, habitat assessments, and development of wildlife management and mitigation plans in cooperation with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Colorado Parks & Wildlife, and other regulatory agencies. In addition, we have successfully developed and implemented numerous vegetation management plans, restoration plans, and noxious weed management plans for private landowners and public open spaces. Our clients appreciate our focus on customer service, quality and results.
