Answer: Illiteracy Prevention Non-Profit Organization Bible Stories Theatre Of Fine & Performing Arts [BSTFPA] _a dynamic, creative, and expressive non-profit theatre, began as a small mobile stage production company traveling to community centers, and schools, constantly working to contribute to the components of life to the Inner City of Alexandria, Virginias poor and low-income youths and their families; special attention was devoted to at-risk teens and people rebuilding their self-confidence, as well as attempting to develop productive lives by preparing for college or advanced career training. BSTFPA was established in 1998 with a focus on bringing sound and clear-cut lessons in integrity, strong moral principles and values through dramatic performing arts: As one of the few theatre non-profit organizations in the Northern Virginia, Metropolitan, DC/Baltimore areas, contributing educational programs and services to underprivileged children and youths, in our Inner Cities, BSTFPA, is committed to fighting illiteracy through a sphere of stage projects and productions were created to bridge the gap between the developed and un-developed communities and endow with them with opportunities to enter and re-enter into society through training and enriching programming to raise educational opportunities in the performing arts field as a vehicle to improve and increase Recognized in 2003 as a non-profit, Founder Janet I. Thomas, a life-long Alexandria resident and novelist/playwright/gospel songwriter, introduced the Awareness In The Arts For Children & Youth Program, a before and after school program to teach the fundamentals of theatre and film to the City of Alexandrias poor and low-income community.
