Answer: American infrastructure was recently given a D+ rating by the American Society of Civil Engineers. the same failing grade awarded to the country back in the 2013 report card. The nations association of Civil Engineers quoted that The nations roads, dams, airports, water and electrical systems need $4.6 trillion of work. This is because we use black steel rebar to reinforce the brittle nature concrete. Due to concretes porous nature water gets inside causing the reinforcement to rust, when black steel rusts it doubles in size, eventually cracking concrete structures costing tax payers around the world billions of dollars a year in infrastructure repair. The solution to spending trillions of dollars in concrete repair costs is to replace traditional black steel rebar with BFRP composite rebar (rebar made from Basalt Fiber Reinforced Polymer). When BFRP composite rebar is used in place of steel rebar the Basalt is 2.5 times stronger (in tension) while weighing just 1/4th the weight, but most importantly...it CAN NEVER RUST because fiber reinforced polymers arent steel! Basalt World Corp manufacturers state of the art pultrusion machines designed to produce all different material types of composite rebar. Our machines were initially designed and are optimized to produce BFRP composite rebar, however that original design has been reconfigured to efficiently run fiberglass fibers (creating GFRP composite rebar), carbon fiber (creating CFRP composite rebar), Aramid fiber aka, Kevlar (AFRP) and even hemp, which is foreseen as a new reinforcement on the horizon. B.W.C. will also be selling RockRebar branded Basalt fiber and resin packages to manufacturers who purchase our machines to produce BFRP composite rebar specifically. When you combine our RockRebar fiber / resin packages with our machines, you know you're creating a well-known, trustworthy product.
