Answer: Axiam designs and installs repeatable, integrated engine core assembly processes for any turbine engine model resolving many common assembly and balance issues. Our assembly processes include: software, tooling, assembly procedures and high-accuracy inspection for rotors, shafts, bearings, seals, casings and blades. An engine built with Axiam's optimal, straight-build engine core assembly processes run more efficiently and reliably than an engine built with an OEM assembly process; typically yielding performance improvements of 2% in SFC, 30% in EGT Margin, 60% in Vibration and 10% in Wing Time (Test cell data vs. pre-Axiam baseline). EGT Margin deterioration is arrested due to the straight builds about the actual centerline of rotation. Our assembly processes are installed at the airline's engine shop, and continued engineering support to ensure peak performance is provided. Axiam makes the capital investment; the airline's payments to Axiam are based on a percentage-of-fuel-savings basis. BENEFITS AIRLINE- improved engine performance, quality & reliability, fuel cost savings, and maintenance cost reduction, CO2 reduction and a competitive advantage. SHOP- improved engine quality & performance, shop & materials cost reduction. Improvements: 60% avg total assembly time reduction, first pass optimal builds, improved EGT Margins, improved SFC consumption, reduced trim/balance times and oil leakage, elimination of rebuilds/test cell rejects - predictability & reliability.
