Answer: Founded in 1986, the Asian American Christian Counseling Service (AACCS) was a non-profit organization that provided professional counseling and psychotherapy; consultation to pastors, missionaries, and churches; and community education on mental health issues. Its services recognized the unique intersection of Christian faith, Asian American culture, and psychology. Within that context, its mission was to bring emotional healing to individuals and families, to restore broken relationships, and to offer guidance for positive personal change and improved interpersonal relationships. After more than 34 years of service in the community, AACCS retired its mission and closed its doors in June 2020.
