Since our founding, A&R Development has developed more than 50 projects valued at over $900 million and, in doing so, we have come to understand how to complete projects in a way that mitigates risk and optimizes long-term success. As a result of our experience, we are experts in the intricacies of real estate development in urban centers, including public-private partnerships, financing (including both conventional and tax credit financing), entitlement, transit-oriented master planning, and community coordination. A&R Development takes a long-term approach to development, ownership and investment. We are selective, deliberate and analytical to ensure that the projects we develop will be viable and successful for years to come. Our business model requires long-term vision and thorough planning that considers every aspect of development, including bringing on the right partners. Today, we have several exciting projects in the pipeline including Capitol Gateway, a complex multi-phased master planning project that is transforming a major gateway to Washington, D.C. As part of this project, we have already completed the development and sale of 380 homes and a senior building. The next phase will add over 300 apartments, 18,000 square feet of retail, and a Walmart.
