Focused on critical infrastructure networks within the electric, gas, water and communications industries, we specialize in the architecture and design of networks that position our clients to maximize their return from the latest technologies and applications such as the Smart Grid and Distributed Automation. We offer a comprehensive product called Joint Architectural Design or (JAD) that together with the customer develops the architecture and engineering of a reliable and scalable electric utility communications backbones and LANs (fiber, microwave-- IP/Ethernet, MPLS, SONET) to carry data between distributed automation devices and control centers. These projects also involve secure IP/Ethernet and TDM networks in transmission substations and integration with wireless access networks for distribution automation. The communications systems support multiple services, including SCADA, metering, protective relaying, VoIP, LMR, corporate data transport, NMS, and other smart grid applications. Current and planned NERC CIP security standards are utilized in the design of these new information energy networks.
