Answer: Alaska Icefield Expeditions, Inc. was founded by Dan and Chris Turner, who run the oldest operating sled dog tour company in Southeast Alaska. Over the years our glacier team has grown and is available in Juneau on the famous Mendenhall Glacier and in Skagway at the Denver Glacier dog camp. There are 25-30 people and 300 Alaskan husky sled dogs in each camp. It is a way of life for our mushers and sled dogs to live in "dog camp" during the summer-keeping in shape, raising puppies, preparing for winter racing and camping trips. Having guests to share this great adventure with is a bonus.
