Answer: Investment Casting Foundry (Lost Wax Process). Manufacturer of precision metal castings made to customer specifications. Benefits of investment castings are their near-net shape, complex geometries, close tolerances, design freedom, alloy selection and cost benefit when compared to other manufacturing processes. We can manufacture single castings using rapid prototyping technologies with no tooling costs, or low to moderate volumes of castings (100s to 1000s) with very competitive tooling costs. A primary benefit is the very wide variety of alloys we can pour. Because our molds are ceramic, metal reaction to the mold is minimal. This enables us to cast alloys incompatible with sand and die casting. Alloy families poured are carbon, low-alloy and tool steels, stainless steel, nickel & cobalt alloys, copper & aluminum alloys. The versatility of investment castings minimzes secondary machining to achieve final shape and tolerances. We have an excellent quality system that addresses engineering changes, process control, calibration and part inspection. Certifications provided include alloy chemistry, heat treatment, mechanical properties, non-destructive testing (radiographic, magnetic particle, dye penetrant) and dimensional layout. An Optical Emission Spectrometer and FARO CMM are the cornerstones of our QC laboratory. Secondary processes such as machining, heat treatment, passivation, impregnation, plating & powder coat are provided as required.
