Our mission at 24/7 Travel Stores is to bring to market a unique blend of quality products and services that meet the changing demands of an increasingly convenience oriented society. In 1963, Larry Triplett opened his first location, a Standard Station, on Interstate 70 and North Ninth Street in Salina. That location is still open today. Through acquisitions and trades, Triplett, Inc. owned Standard/Amoco stations in Junction City, Manhattan, Paxico and Topeka. Those locations were sold in the 1970s and early 80s to transition from the traditional service station business to large travel plazas designed to meet the needs of the traveling public on major interstates.
